Migraine is a neurological disorder that is accompanied by all sorts of symptoms, such as light flashes, light hypersensitive and other sensory symptoms. The headache that can occur is usually very intense and is caused by a combination of muscle tension and other factors.
Botox can well address this muscle tension in many people and can ensure that the pain is better tolerated or even disappears in some patients.
Our experience is that with regular use of Botox the seizures occur less frequently or less violently in a number of patients.
You discuss the type of headache and the location of the headache together with your cosmetic doctor. Then the places are determined where the most intense pain points are. These are different for each patient, but most patients can usually indicate them very well. Usually these are the muscles between the eyebrows (frown area), the temples and the muscles on the head (along the hairline) and sometimes in the neck. The doctor then makes a treatment schedule and calculates the amount of Botox required for the treatment. This also makes the costs known.
The price of the first consultation is free; for a follow-up appointment without treatment you pay € 40.
