What are crow’s feet?
Crow’s feet or laughing wrinkles around the eyes are the wrinkles on both sides of the eyes, which arise as a result of the loss of elasticity of the skin in combination with muscle activity of the muscle around the eyes.
When this muscle contracts, the skin folds and wrinkles appear. These crow’s feet can be caused by, for example, laughing and pinching the eyes (looking into the light).
Because the skin is always collapsed in the same place, more and more lines are created that will eventually become deeper and deeper. As we age and the skin loses more and more elasticity, those wrinkles no longer pull away and remain in the skin.
