Three ways to reach the practice at the Oudezijds Achterburgwal 132:
By car: It’s difficult to find parking space in the immediate vicinity of the practice. The best option is the parking garage at Dam Square: Bijenkorf parking garage (entrance Damrak) or (less crowded) the parking facility of NH-Hotels Krasnapolsky entrance St. Janssteeg. Go back to the Dam ander after Krasnapolsy left into Damstraat. At the second canal turn left before crossing the bridge with a flower booth onto Oudezijds Achterburgwal. After 50m you’ll find the practice (nr 132).
An alternative is parking at one of the P+R train stations (for instance Johan Cruijff Arena) and taking the subway from there to subwaystation Nieuwmarkt. Starting Feb 2nd the rates, locations and conditions have been changed. Parking is now € 8,00 for 24h if you arrive before 10am or € 1,00 for 24h if you arrive after 10 am or on a Saturday, Sunday or a National Holiday. From the parking location you have to travel with a public transport ticket to Amsterdam Centre (and your return trip also has to start there, if not: you will have to pay the full parking rate!) at reduced rates for a maximum of 5 persons, more info about P&R here).
By subway: exit at Nieuwmarkt station. Cross Nieuwmarkt square diagonally to the left, and turn right on the corner via the Bloedstraat to the Oudezijds Achterburgwal. Go left towards the bridge, cross the bridge on the right, immediately turn left again and after 50m you’ll find the practice (nr. 132). If you take the North-South subway you take the exit Dam Square on the Rokin / Dam station. On the Dam square you go right into the Damstraat and follow it until the second bridge. There you go left on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal. After 50 meters you will find nr. 132 on your left hand side.
By train (NS): Exit at Amsterdam Central Station, south exit. If you want to go by foot (12 min) cross the square, and follow Damrak to Dam Square. An alternative is to travel one stop by street car / tram lines 4-9-16-24-25 to Dam Square. From this point turn left into Damstraat and follow the route described after “Parking”.
